英語でコメディを勉強する方法は

海外の笑いを理解すること。これは、英語の学習でも最も難しいテーマなのかもしれません。そこで今回はカナダ出身のコメディアンDeAnne Smithさんのスタンドアップコメディを観ながら、パーカー先生(池袋)のレッスンを受けてみることにしました。

英語のコメディを理解するにはどうしたらよいのでしょうか。パーカー先生も、日本のテレビのお笑い番組を理解するはとても難しいとこ。さて、どんな番組でしょうか。

It’s probably the hardest way to study English too. It’s a comedy.
Ah, learn slang, but,,,, idioms mostly, English idioms, like “I am all like” or “it was all like”, things like that, mostly idioms.
Because people are speaking not very polite English.

Yeah, no, Not in a dictionary.
You have to get a special book of idioms or google English idioms or English slang.
Idioms, colloquialisms.
I think they are the same things, but, yeah.

Yeah, also it’s just conversation, because it is not really useful like using a textbook is totally different from using conversation.
If you are listening to native speakers, they use different English probably.
I think it’s like probably the most advanced of any languages of understanding comedy.
Because I can’t understand any Japanese comedy, that show,,,, ah, I can’t remember the name of it.

Yeah, SHOTEN, SHOTEN, yeah.
I can’t understand what’s funny, or what their jokes are.
It is like subtleties of language
